DAY 4 - Delhi
After breakfast proceed for full day city tour visiting old and New Delhi. In New Delhi, we visit the "Qutab Minar", a 72 meter high tower built to commemorate the victory of Islam over Hindus. Continue to "Humayun's tomb", also known as the forerunner to the Taj Mahal. Humayun, launched a great Mughal architectural legacy. Set in peaceful surrounds, the tomb features an artful combination of red sandstone and white marble. Drive through the Embassy area, the Government buildings (1921-1930) and Connaught Place - the heart and main shopping district of the capital. Afternoon, we cross the city into the walled gates of Old Delhi. Our tour includes a visit to the "Jama Mosque" (1650) and drive through the fabled area of "Chandni Chowk" (aptly translates to Moonlight Square). Then we drive past the Red Fort (1639-1648) built by Shahjehan the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra. Later visit Raj Ghat to pay homage to the Father of the Indian Nation - Mahatma Gandhi.

DAY 5 - Delhi - Agra
Drive to Agra. On arrival you are met and assisted by our local representative at the hotel and check-in. Afternoon visit to the sprawling "Agra Fort" on the bank of the Yamuna River. This immense fort and palace is the seat of power for four generations of Mughal emperors; they ruled all of northern India from the early 16th century until the consolidation by British colonial rule in the early 1800s. Agra Fort's architecture is an almost perfect fusion between military might and lavish beauty. Later enjoy a visit to the "Taj Mahal". This grand edifice was built by Shahjehan from 1631 to 1653 to enshrine the remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. We walk into the inner chambers of this renowned "Monument to Love," and seek out several vantage points to see the magnificent play of light. The semi translucent white marble is inlaid with thousands of semi-precious stones in beautiful patterns and the building has four identical facades, a perfect exercise in symmetry. It is truly deserving of its status as a wonder of the world. This monument took 22 years to be completed and took 20,000 workers to build, was designed and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa.

The mysterious ghost city founded by the Mughal Emperor-Akbar the Great in the late 16th century and capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. Although architecturally magnificent, the city suffered from a water shortage and was abandoned shortly after Akbar's death. The city occupies a sandstone ridge, and the area around it is enclosed within a seven-mile-long wall. We'll stroll about the fort and palace. Continue the drive to Jaipur. On arrival check into the hotel.

Set in a picturesque background, the splendid Amber Fort (Jaigarh) was built in 1600 by Raja Man Singh, commander-in-chief of the Mughal army during Akbar's reign and certainly one of the greatest generals of medieval India. Afternoon half day city tour of Jaipur. Visit the "City Palace" a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. This palace complex has numerous buildings, courtyards, impressive gateways and temples.
