Day 1 DEPART Overnight flight to Frankfurt.
Day 2 ARRIVE FRANKFURT (OFFENBACH) Welcome to Frankfurt! After check-in, your Travel Director shows you the dynamic financial center and medieval Römerplatz during your orientation. Later, meet for a Welcome Reception with your Travel Director and fellow travelers. It’s a great opportunity to get to know everyone!
Day 3 FRANKFURT (OFFENBACH) - RHINE CRUISE - COLOGNE
At St. Goar embark for a cruise up the scenic River Rhine past medieval castles and terraced vineyards. Stop to experience a unique Be My Guest lunch at an atmospheric castle above the river. Continue by road via Bonn to Cologne where an orientation includes a visit inside the magnificent Gothic cathedral. Spend free time before dinner relaxing or exploring on your own.

Day 4 COLOGNE - HIGH SPEED TRAIN - BERLIN (2 NIGHTS)
Take a high speed train to the fascinating capital, Berlin. Spend the rest of the day exploring this city on your own or relaxing.

Day 5 BERLIN SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide gives an exciting account of Berlin’s rich and momentous history during your included sightseeing tour. Admire the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard, the Reichstag Building, German State Opera House, Tiergarten and the shopping and entertainment district of Kurfürstendamm. This evening, you might like to discover the vibrant nightlife for which Berlin is famous.

Day 6 BERLIN - BAYREUTH - WURZBURG
South from Berlin, cross the River Elbe and continue past Leipzig. Visit Bayreuth, home of the Wagner Festival. In Würzburg, see the Marienburg Fortress and the Prince-Bishops' residence before arriving via the Romantic Road in Rothenburg.
Day 7 WURZBURG - ROTHENBURG - MUNICH (2 NIGHTS)
Drive via part of the Romantic Road to Rothenburg and enjoy an orientation walk in the medieval town. Continue through splendid countryside to Munich in the heart of Bavaria. Tonight enjoy a Highlight Dinner with local specialties.

Day 8 MUNICH SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your orientation includes the Olympic Stadium and City Hall with its Glockenspiel clock. Tonight, why not discover some of Munich's lively beer halls - it’s what the region is famous for!

Day 9 MUNICH - NEUSCHWANSTEIN - INNSBRUCK (2 NIGHTS)
Visit Neuschwanstein this morning before crossing the Austrian border to Innsbruck. View the famous Olympic ski-jump before arriving at your hotel.

Day 10 INNSBRUCK SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your orientation includes the Wilten Basilica, Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Explore medieval lanes, visit world-class museums and Hapsburg palaces or simply relax and admire this dazzling city set against a spectacular Alpine backdrop. Tonight you might like to see a traditional Tyrolean folklore show.

Day 11 INNSBRUCK - SALZBURG
Travel to Salzburg, where spires and domes rise in the shadow of Hohensalzburg Castle, one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe. Admire the city featured in 'The Sound of Music' during your walking tour with an expert Local Guide. Admire Mozart’s birthplace and family house in the picturesque Getreidegasse, and the Domplatz dominated by Salzburg Cathedral.

Day 12 SALZBURG - DURNSTEIN - VIENNA (2 NIGHTS)
Enjoy breathtaking scenery on your drive past Lake Mondsee to the UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley. Sloping vineyards line the river from Melk Abbey to Dürnstein, where Richard the Lionheart was held prisoner and subsequently found by Blondel, his faithful minstrel. Arrive in Vienna and spend the afternoon as you wish.

Day 13 VIENNA SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

Travel Highlights Airport Transfers
Transfers on Day 1 at Frankfurt Airport will operate at 9.30am, 12pm and 2.30pm. Guests arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last travel day will arrive at Vienna Airport at 8am and 9.30am.
