Day 1 DEPART Overnight flight to Vienna.
Day 2 ARRIVE VIENNA Welcome to Vienna! After check-in, your expert Local Guide gives a superb historical account of the Hapsburg dynasty during your sightseeing and walking tour of Old Vienna. Admire the Hofburg Palace, Imperial Boulevards, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and ‘Am Hof’. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow traveling for a Welcome Reception.
Day 3 VIENNA - LAKE BLED (2 NIGHTS)
Cross the Loibl Pass in the Karawanken Mountains to the green hills of Slovenia. Arrive later in Lake Bled, an earthly paradise and your home for the next two nights. A beautiful glacial lake in the Julian Alps, Lake Bled is a picturesque and serene escape set amid forests and mountains. There is time this afternoon to explore the medieval castle or take a boat ride on the lake.

Day 4 LAKE BLED FREE TIME
Spend the day as you wish. Relax or consider an optional excursion to the extensive maze of underground caves at Postojna.

Day 5 LAKE BLED - LJUBLJANA - ZAGREB (2 NIGHTS)
In the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, your sightseeing tour with an expert Local Guide includes the Opera House, Cathedral, National Museum, Castle and the Three Bridges Square. Later, cross the border into Croatia and arrive in Zagreb. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 6 ZAGREB SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
A fascinating city, Zagreb combines the best of Eastern and Western Europe. Spend the rest of the day seeing the sights of your choice.

Day 7 ZAGREB - BUDAPEST (2 NIGHTS)
Across the border in Hungary, pause for photos on the shores of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe and known affectionately by locals as the ‘Hungarian Sea’. Continue to the capital Budapest on the banks of the romantic River Danube for your two-night stay.

Day 8 BUDAPEST SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Admire the city’s sights with your expert Local Guide during a walking tour of the city, featuring stunning views over the river from the Fishermen's Bastion. See Parliament and the Great Synagogue. Join your companions this evening for a delicious Hungarian Be My Guest dining experience.

Day 9 BUDAPEST - SLOVAKIA - KRAKOW (2 NIGHTS)
North through Slovakia, into Poland and past the foothills of the Tatra Mountains, you arrive in the picturesque city of Krakow. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 10 KRAKOW SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
View the Royal Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill during a sightseeing tour with an expert Local Guide. Your walking tour through the Old Town includes a visit to the Cloth Hall and the Mariacki Church. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring. Consider an optional excursion to the unique Wieliczka Salt Mine, where underground chambers are hewn out of rock salt! This evening, pehaps sample some lively Polish entertainment after dinner.

Day 11 KRAKOW - AUSCHWITZ - CZESTOCHOWA - WARSAW (2 NIGHTS)
Visit the concentration camp at Auschwitz, a permanent reminder of the horrors perpetrated during the Holocaust. Afterwards, visit Jasna Gora Monastery, Poland’s most famous shrine to the Virgin Mary featuring the iconic Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Finish the day in Warsaw, where you dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 12 WARSAW SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Visit the Old Town and the site of the Warsaw ghetto during your morning sightseeing tour with an expert Local Guide. Admire the Palace of Culture and Science. Later, don't miss a trip to the Wilanow Palace, the residence of Polish King Jan Sobieski. Tonight after dinner at the hotel, you might like to attend a classical music recital.

Day 13 WARSAW - POZNAN - BERLIN (2 NIGHTS)
Cross Poland’s central plains to Poznan. Stop to view the charming City Hall and see impressive Gothic churches. Continue west to the border town of Frankfurt-an-der-Oder and into Germany. Arrive in the capital, Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting cities.

Day 14 BERLIN SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Marvel at the city’s great landmarks during your sightseeing tour with an expert Local Guide including the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Unter den Linden Boulevard, and the German State Opera House. Visit the Checkpoint Charlie Museum and spend the rest of your day as you wish. Relax or take an optional excursion to the new Holocaust Memorial. Tonight, discover Berlin’s lively nightlife!

Day 15 BERLIN - DRESDEN - PRAGUE (2 NIGHTS)
Travel through the Spreewald Forest to Dresden. Hear about the restoration of the city during your orientation tour, which includes the Saxon Wall, Semper Opera and 18th century Cathedral. Cross into the Czech Republic, arriving later in the magnificent city of Prague - the political, cultural and economic center of the Czech state for over 1100 years.
Day 16 PRAGUE SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide gives a comprehensive history of Prague during your sightseeing tour. Marvel at Prague Castle, the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, the Old Town square. Visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, then spend free time exploring or shopping for souvenirs. This evening, enjoy a Highlight Dinner of Czech cuisine at a local restaurant.

Day 17 PRAGUE - TABOR - VIENNA
Visit Tabor, former headquarters of the 15th century religious reformer, John Huss. Drive through Southern Bohemia, past the town of Horn and continue to the Imperial city of Vienna. Tonight, celebrate with your fellow travelers and Travel Director at a Farewell Dinner.
Day 18 VIENNA - HOME
Say farewell to your newfound friends at the end of a wonderful vacation! Airport transfers are available. Conditions apply.

Travel Highlights Airport Transfers
Transfers on Day 1 at Vienna Airport will operate at 9am, 12pm and 3pm. Guests arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last travel day will arrive at Vienna Airport at 8am and 9.30am.
