Depart on an overnight flight to Paris and on arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure before meeting fellow travellers for dinner this evening. Le Royal Monceau D Day 3: Paris Spend the day exploring the highlights of the "City of Light," including the extraordinary Louvre Museum. Le Royal Monceau B L Day 4: Paris / Chartres / Versailles / Paris This morning depart for Chartres to see its glorious cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Versailles for a visit to the State Apartments of King Louis XIV's sumptuous palace. Return to Paris where dinner is à la carte. Le Royal Monceau B L D Day 5: Paris / Loire Valley Board a high-speed TGV train to Tours and travel to Château Azay-le-Rideau for a first glimpse of one of the area's most famous and beautiful castles. Continue to your château hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Domaine de la Tortinière B L D Day 6: Loire Valley Drive along the bank of the Loire River past grand castles, including Amboise and Blois, to Cheverny - renowned for magnificent interior rooms and its collection of furniture, tapestries and objets d'art. Finish the day with a visit to the romantic Château de Chenonceau. Later, drive along the famous Route des Grands Crus (Wine Road) to Beaune where, after lunch, you visit the 15th-century hospice Hôtel-Dieu. Later, join in a wine tasting before returning to Dijon. Sofitel Dijon La Cloche B L Day 9: Dijon / Vézelay / Dijon Follow in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims to the "sacred hill" of Vézelay to visit the Basilica of Ste-Madeleine. Later, return to Dijon where you enjoy a gourmet farewell dinner at a local Michelin-starred restaurant. Sofitel Dijon La Cloche B D Day 10: Dijon / Paris Travel by high-speed TGV back to Paris and visit the Petit Palais. After lunch, have an afternoon at leisure or join a specialist local guide for a visit to the Musée d'Orsay. Tonight gather for farewell drinks.
