the senses with its cuisine, precious art, and perfumes.![]() Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to London. Days 2, 3, 4 & 5 (4 nights) After checking into your hotel the rest of your day is free to start to enjoy the pomp and pageantry of the Royal Horse Guards, the welcoming informality of colorful pubs, the crazy fashions of Chelsea’s Kings Road and the bespoke tailors of Savile Row. On the second morning you will have an included excursion to the historic town of Royal Windsor, with free time to shop or maybe visit the castle. Your morning sightseeing tour – usually on the fourth day – will show you Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. The rest of your time in London is at leisure. Perhaps walk in Hyde Park, visit the Natural History Museum or mix with the famous, and infamous, at Madame Tussauds. London is yours to explore – and you certainly may want to attend one of London’s top stage productions in the West End. Your Trafalgar representative will be available to help with organising any excursions during your stay, whether in London or the countryside. Hotel: The Grosvenor Days 6, 7 & 8 (3 nights) We take the Channel ferry from Dover to Calais and drive across the First World War battlefields, pausing to stop and visit the recently restored Vimy Ridge memorial, en route to Paris. The next day we enjoy a sightseeing tour which features the ascent of the Eiffel Tower to the second level, views of Notre Dame Cathedral and a drive along the Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe. The following day we visit the Fragonard Perfumery and Museum. You have carte blanche to make the best of the City of Light. Museums abound – try the Louvre or the Musée d’Orsay. Shop in elegant stores and boutiques for next year’s fashions. Or explore the wide boulevards crowded with pavement cafés, or perhaps visit the gracious Palace of Versailles. During your stay sample the legendary nightlife and be sure to try a Parisian cabaret spectacular. Hotel: Ibis Alesia Day 9 - Paris - USA After breakfast, time to say ‘au revoir’ to your Tour Director and new-found friends as your Trafalgar city stay comes to an end. Free airport transfers: Return transfer on the last touring day will arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 08.00. F8 - PARIS. Illuminations and Dinner After an unforgettable dinner in typical Parisian style, drinks included, we take a drive through the city. By night, Paris is a city transformed - no other city has such striking illuminations, such glamour or romance. Amongst the splendours we see the Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Champs Elysées and the Eiffel Tower. 62 (€) F55 - PARIS. Moulin Rouge Cabaret and Dinner An unforgettable evening of French entertainment at Paris’ most famous Cabaret, ‘Le Moulin Rouge’. Dinner, wine and Champagne will be included. 145 (€) F12c - PARIS. The Louvre and Montmartre & Seine Cruise We start with a conducted tour, enhanced by our excellent audio system, of one of the finest Art galleries in the world – the Louvre. A chance to admire the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo amongst the many thousands of exhibits in this former Royal Palace. Later we take a funicular ride up to the artists' quarter of Montmartre, followed by a relaxing trip on a Seine cruise boat. 62 (€) F13 - PARIS. Versailles - The Palace and Gardens We leave the bustle of the city for the splendour and magnificence of Versailles. Created by the “Sun King” Louis XIV, the palace became the envy of every other European ruler. Our guide takes us through the State apartments, including the famous Hall of Mirrors. All of this enhanced with the use of our excellent audio system.
