Mahkota
Medical Centre (MMC) has established itself as a tertiary hospital of
repute in Malaysia and in the region, providing quality medical
services at affordable rates. Managed and owned by Health Management
International Ltd (HMI), the hospital plays a vital part to the
healthcare group's operations. HMI was listed no the Singapore Exchange
(SESDAQ) in 1999. The
hospital is currently staffed with 54 full time medical specialists of
various disciplines. MMC's management comprises of personnel with
varying qualifications. There is a good mixture of personnel who has
been with the company since its inception and those who have recently
joined from other established organizations.
The
hospital currently manages 228 beds in five wards (including one
maternity ward), the ICU and CCU. The hospital also operates other
medical facilities including ten major Operating Rooms (ORs) and two
Minor ORs, Radiology Services, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Day Procedure
Unit, Health Screening Services, Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy
Services, IVF Services, Haemodialysis Services, Physiotherapy Services
and Dental Services.
Besides
the core services, the hospital also provides other services including
the cafeteria and retail facilities on the ground floor. In addition,
