Highlights of SpainExperience the best of Spanish culture and passion during this fascinating tour. Later it’s on to Toledo with its Mosque of Caliphs as well as Moorish Cordoba, before reaching stunning Seville where you'll have a lesson in Flamenco! Marvel at the picturesque scenery on your way to Grenada and then enjoy a paella–making class in Valencia. Admire ancient Peñiscola castle before being whisked to Barcelona where you’ll visit Camp Nou, the city’s charming Gothic quarter, Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the Ramblas.

Overnight flight to Madrid.

Day 2 ARRIVE MADRID (2 NIGHTS)
Bienvenido Madrid! After check-in, spend time exploring this amazing city! Later, meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Kick-off Party and learn more about your Spanish adventure!

Day 3 TOLEDO EXCURSION AND MADRID SIGHTSEEING
In Toledo, your walking tour with an expert Local Guide includes a visit to the Synagogue and the Church of Santo Tomé. Toledo is renowned for steel and nearly all of the military swords in Spain were forged here! In the capital, Madrid, wander along wide tree-lined boulevards to see the Cervantes Memorial in the Plaza de España on your guided sightseeing tour. Admire the Puerta del Sol and visit the magnificent Plaza Mayor.

Day 4 MADRID - CORDOBA - SEVILLE (2 NIGHTS)
Hear tales of the legendary Don Quixote, a muddle-headed 'knight' who jousted with windmills! In Cordoba, visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn about the region's rich Moorish history. Arrive later at your hotel in Seville and enjoy a spectacular Be My Guest Spanish-style barbecue this evening!

Day 5 SEVILLE SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a sightseeing tour through Seville's tree-lined streets. Visit the beautiful cathedral with its mighty Giralda Bell Tower and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. See the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park, built for the 1929 World's Fair, and walk through the Jewish quarter. This afternoon, experience the passion of flamenco with a dancing lesson!

Day 6 SEVILLE - CORDOBA - GRANADA
Marvel at the picturesque scenery as you drive to Granada. Your expert Local Guide takes you on a guided sightseeing tour, which includes a visit to one of the most impressive sights in Spain – the Moorish Alhambra Palace. Wander through the exotic water gardens of the 'Generalife' featuring stunning views across the town and surrounding hills from the terraces.

Day 7 GRANADA - GAUDIX - VALENCIA
See the unique cave dwellings in Gaudix, some of which resemble small cottages, while others are walled earthen mounds with whitewashed chimneys sticking out from the top! Living underground helps the Andalucians escape from the fierce summer heat. In Valencia – renowned for its oranges – see the Bull Ring and the Towers of Serrano and Cuarte. Paella was also invented here and tonight you enjoy a paella-making lesson plus you get to eat it afterwards!

Day 8 VALENCIA - PENISCOLA - BARCELONA (2 NIGHTS)
North along the coast in Peñiscola, stop to view the medieval fortified castle, built in the 13th century by the Knights Templar. Later in Barcelona, your expert Local Guide shows you all the city's major sights, including Gaudi's fantastic architectural creations, the Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic quarter featuring a magnificent Cathedral.

Day 9 BARCELONA EXCURSION TO FC BARCELONA'S CAMP NOU
This morning join your Travel Director for an included visit to Camp Nou - FC Barcelona's football stadium – the largest in Europe. Here you will visit the museum of the multiple winners of the Spanish Championship and UEFA Champions League. Then enjoy free time in the city to shop or explore. This evening, celebrate the end of your amazing Spanish with your Travel Director and newfound friends at a special Farewell Dinner.

Day 10 BARCELONA - HOME

Travel Highlights Airport Transfers
Transfers on Day 2 at Madrid Airport will operate at 10.30am, 13.00pm and 15.30pm. Guests arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last day of the trip will arrive at Barcelona Airport at 09.00am. For guests who wish to take a complimentary transfer to Madrid, you will be taken to the extra night hotel with arrival at around 6.00pm.
