Day 2 Copenhagen's Rosenborg Palace, Nyhavn & more

On a Copenhagen sightseeing tour, see the Danish crown jewels and other treasures at Rosenborg Slot (Palace), built in Dutch Renaissance style, and the famous statue of The Little Mermaid; and visit the colorful district of Nyhavn. The afternoon and evening are free to explore the city as you please; admission is included to nearby Tivoli Gardens and the fashionable pedestrian area of Strøget is a short walk from your landmark hotel.

Day 3 From Viking ships in Roskilde to your cruise ship

Travel to Roskilde – Denmark's religious, cultural, and political center from the Viking times through the Middle Ages – and visit the Viking Ship Museum, featuring five ships from the 11th century that were discovered in the 1960s. Day 6 Exploring ancient Tallinn, Estonia

Dock in the walled city of Tallinn for a day of discovery in the age-old capital of Estonia, one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cities. Drive through Tallinn’s suburbs, and join your local guide to stroll through narrow cobblestone streets and the main Market Square of Old Town; admire the 13th-century Toompea Castle, Estonia's traditional seat of power. Enjoy lunch with time to wander as you wish. The Tour Operators shuttle will bring you back to ship as your Russia cruise continues to St. Petersburg.

Day 7 Russia's cultural capital, St. Petersburg

Cruise Russia and arrive in the glorious imperial city of St. Petersburg. A guided tour of city sights includes the imposing Peter and Paul Fortress, built in the 18th century as the core of Peter the Great’s new capital, what the czar called his "window on the west"; inside the fortress, Peter and Paul Cathedral – with its tall golden spire – contains the tombs of all the Russian czars. Your day includes a stop at the Church of our Savior on Spilled Blood, and a vodka tasting at a local restaurant; shuttle service brings you back to the pier. Tonight, a pre-theatre dinner aboard Le Boreal precedes a memorable night of cultural entertainment at a royal palace featuring champagne, opera and Russian ballet!

Day 8 Inside The State Hermitage Museum

Take a privately guided tour of The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg at the best time to visit today, as you view one of the largest collections of art and artifacts in the world. Displays include prehistoric cultures, classical antiquities, Western European art, and golden treasures. Spend time after lunch exploring this amazing city as you please before returning to the ship for dinner this evening.

Day 9 Visiting Catherine Palace (The Summer Palace)

In and around St. Petersburg, take advantage of the Tour Operators early visits to revered sights to avoid crowds. Today you'll venture outside of city limits to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore Catherine Palace (a.k.a. The Summer Palace), the Rococo-style summer residence of the Romanovs. You'll immediately notice the ornate blue-and-white ornamental façade; lavish interiors feature gilded wall carvings and intricate ceiling murals, and opulent touches including silk wallpaper, crystal chandeliers and marble chimneys. During lunch, enjoy traditional folkloric entertainment at a local restaurant before you depart St. Petersburg and Le Boreal sets sail once again, bound for Finland.

Day 11 Disembark in Stockholm, Sweden's island city

Bid the crew of Le Boreal adieu as you disembark the yacht in Stockholm, strategically positioned on 14 islands. Sightseeing in Sweden's historic capital includes City Hall, where Nobel Prize festivities take place, and a walking tour along the cobbled streets of medieval Gamla Stan, or Old Town, home to the vast Royal Palace. Spend the remainder of the day as you please. Your hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city.

Le Boreal, a sleek new yacht launched in May of 2010, is small enough to provide a truly intimate cruise experience; her size makes her ideally suited for visiting ports in the Baltics, islands in Antarctica and along the coast of Iceland that bigger ships can’t reach. Le Boreal sports 6 decks that include Le Restaurant Gastronomique, the elegant main dining room serving French and international cuisine; the casual Le Grill Restaurant; three lounges offering evening entertainment, bars and access to the open decks; Le Théâtre hosting informative lectures and entertainment; a Fitness and Beauty Corner; a Medical Center; and multiple observation areas. Elevators serve all passenger decks. Staterooms (ranging in size from 200 to 210 sq. ft.) and suites (ranging in size from 301 to 398 sq. ft.) have ocean views; 95% have private balconies. The RGB Bar and Grill offers international cuisine in a casual atmosphere with views of bustling city streets and Lake Mälaren. A drink or light snack in front of the open fireplace in the Lobby Bar is a great way to unwind after a busy day in the Swedish capital. Complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access is available in guest rooms.

Cruise prices are per person in U.S. dollars. All hotel and cruise ship accommodations, motor coach transportation, port charges, land excursions, admissions, entertainment, sightseeing, special dinners, porterage, and the services of the Tour Directors, hotel and ship staff, and local guides and drivers are included. All-day soft drinks, daily cocktail hour, and wine with dinner aboard the cruise ship are also included. Transportation from Copenhagen Airport in Kastrup to the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel is included, regardless of the time you check in to the hotel, provided you have furnished us with accurate flight arrival information at least two weeks before the start of your tour. Transportation from the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel to Stockholm Arlanda Airport is also included when you check out of the hotel. Transportation to and from the airport may be shared with other Tour guests.
Hotel and Cruise Ship Accommodations - The tour price includes all hotel and cruise ship accommodations. Our standard is to provide the best available accommodations without sacrificing value. Although the quality may differ slightly from one hotel to another, our commitment to your comfort is unwavering. Two-bedded rooms are reserved in most hotels. Triples are usually two-bedded rooms plus a rollaway cot and are not recommended for comfort.
Le Boreal accommodates a maximum of 264 guests with a maximum of 120 Tour guests. All 132 cruise ship staterooms include private bathrooms and are outfitted with two twin beds, one king or one queen bed. All staterooms face the outside and most have private balconies. A limited number of triples are available. Amenities for each stateroom include: Internet access, safe, flat-screen TV, video on demand, minibar, radio, telephone, individual air conditioning and 24-hour room service. In addition, Le Boreal, which flies under the French flag and cruises at an average speed of 16 knots, features:

Children under the age of 18 must be booked in a room with at least one adult.
Meals – Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. There are two restaurants. Complimentary wine is poured nightly. Room service menu is available 24 hours a day. Complimentary soft drinks, coffee and tea service are available throughout the day. Each night you are invited to attend a complimentary cocktail hour. The legal drinking age aboard the cruise ship is 21.
Tour Director – St. Petersburg and the Baltic Sea tour is conducted by one Tour Director for every 40 Tour guests who will remain with the group throughout the duration of the tour. Your Tour Directors are professional, fully trained employees of.
Gratuities Included – All customary gratuities for hotel and ship staff, local guides, drivers and Tour Directors are included.
No Options Sold - Tour Directors assist with information on free-time activities based on honest opinion and guidance, but they will not sell you anything. This means better value and a more relaxed and pleasant experience for you.
Not Included
Transportation to the tour departure point and from the tour ending point is not included. Airfare may be purchased from us for travel originating in the United States.
Hotel Rooms Before and After Tours – To avoid jet lag and possible flight delays, you may wish to make hotel arrangements for the nights preceding or following your cruise. As a service, we will book additional nights for you on a space-available basis using special rates only available through us. Hotel room charges will be added to the cruise cost. Airport transfers are included for these extended stays as described above under Inclusive Prices. If you wish to spend additional nights, please consult Extend Your Trip in the Accommodations section above on this webpage and discuss it with your reservations sales consultant or your travel agent when you book your cruise.
Luggage Responsibility – Although every effort is made to handle your luggage carefully, we cannot be responsible, assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage and personal effects due to breakage, theft, or fair wear and tear through hotel, cruise ship, airline, train and group carrier handling. It is important for your own self-interest and protection that you make certain you have adequate insurance to cover these eventualities.
Lost luggage is an unfortunate possibility in today's world of airline travel. We suggest that you:
Pack at least one change of clothing in your carry-on bag
Split your items between your suitcase and a traveling companion's suitcase
Do not pack any vital medications or valuables in your checked luggage
Confirm that your luggage is checked and tagged to your final destination at airport check-in
Place your luggage claim tags in a secure place for your flight
File a claim for any missing luggage immediately before leaving the baggage claim area
Secure a case number and contact information for follow-up communications
Make certain that the airline has your onward itinerary
Your Tour Director will assist you with airline and other carrier communications, but has no inside contacts to guarantee or expedite recovery of lost luggage. All recovery costs, including the communication costs, are your responsibility. Check your travel protection details for covered expenses.
