Day 3 PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on an informative sightseeing tour. Enjoy views of the Paris skyline from the second level of the Eiffel Tower. See the Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité. Later, consider a trip to the opulent Palace of Versailles.

Day 4 PARIS - TGV TRAIN - AVIGNON
Take the impressive and fast TGV train through the heart of France, past Auxerre and the sprawling vineyards of Burgundy to the Rhône Valley. Your orientation of Avignon includes views of the impressive Palace of the Popes and the ruined bridge straddling the River Rhône, which inspired the famous French song, ‘sur le pont d’Avignon’. Dine tonight at your hotel.

Day 5 AVIGNON - PONT DU GARD - ARLES - AIX-EN-PROVENCE
See the Roman Pont du Gard and continue to Les Baux-de-Provence. Marvel at the Roman Amphi and Romanesque cathedral during your sightseeing and walking tour of Arles, where Vincent Van Gogh lived for a time. This evening in the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence, join your companions for an authentic Be My Guest dinner of regional at a provençal family restaurant.

Day 6 AIX-EN-PROVENCE - ST. TROPEZ - CANNES - NICE (2 NIGHTS)
Traverse scenic hills to the coast and the glitzy resort of St. Tropez. The playground of the rich and famous, St. Tropez is where Brigitte Bardot was ‘discovered’. Take a boat cruise to Ste. Maxime. Continue by road to Cannes - the jewel in the Côte d’Azur - and see the Film Festival Center on the sophisticated Boulevard de la Croisette. Your orientation of Nice includes a drive along Promenade des Anglais, views of Place Masséna, the Old Town and the port. This evening, join your companions for a delicious Highlight Dinner of local at one of the city’s many bustling restaurants.

Day 7 NICE - FREE TIME AND MONACO EXCURSION
Spend the morning relaxing. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, swim in the Mediterranean or shop in chic boutiques. Later, a scenic drive brings you to the Principality of Monaco, where you see the Palace of the ruling Grimaldi family and the cathedral where the late Princess Grace and Prince Rainier were married.

Day 8 NICE - ROUTE NAPOLEON - LYON
Drive along part of the scenic Route Napoleon inland and travel via Manosque and the Durance Valley to the town of Sisteron. Take the alpine route along the Col de la Croix to Lyon, France’s second largest city. Standing at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, Lyon is known as one of the greatest gastronomic cities in the world.
Day 9 LYON - BEAUNE - PARIS
Journey via the vineyards of Macon and Beaune to Paris. Stop in Beaune where there is plenty of time to shop for souvenirs. Tonight, celebrate with your Travel Director and newfound friends at a very special Farewell Dinner.
Day 10 PARIS - CANADA
This morning after breakfast, say 'au revoir' to Paris, your fellow companions and Travel Director as this fascinating journey through France comes to an end. Transfers are available. Conditions apply.
