CLIENTS LETTERS & TESTIMONIALS - Sept-Dec 2002

Clara Martin & Son - USA & Germany to Egypt - Dec 2002
Egypt was everything I always envisioned an much more. I liked the flexibility of the tour and came home with lots of fond memories of Egypt and its people.

Maria Belousova - USA to Egypt - Dec 2002
We enjoyed our Egypt trip. I wanted to compliment our tour guide Khaled and our a-z travel representative Mohammed - they did a great job, making our experience in Cairo exceptional. All in all the experience was positive, so I wanted to thank you for organizing everything

Pam and Roy Newell - USA to Italy - Nov 2002
First we loved Italy and the Italians! Certainly we will go again. We saw truly wonderful things and very much enjoyed it. We met a very pleasant group of people on the tour. The age ranged probably from the middle 20s to maybe 70. But this caused no problems at all and we all got along well. The tour director was pleasant efficient and helpful and the coach and driver were excellent.

Rob Symonds - UK to Egypt - Nov 2002
The trip went well. Your Agents were on the ball and met and looked after me as planned. The best part of the trip was the Abu Simbel to Aswan cruise. The Aswan to Luxor cruise was not quite as planned as the boat did not pass through the lock at Esna. I was transferred to another boat at Luxor and had a quiet evening on the night 29th - I was the only person aboard, apart from the crew.

My only other observation is that the New Cataract Hotel was not as good as I expected. I was told that it is run by the same management as the Old Cataract but except for one receptionist I found the difference between staff from both hotels vastly different.I am now adjusting to wet cold English weather.

David Gold - America to Egypt - Nov 2002
I was satisfied with the trip. In particular, I am impressed how your people "passed us" on from Cairo to Aswan to Luxor and back to Cairo. They always met us on time and got us to our destination quickly. Overall, I would have to give you a 7 on a scale of 10. Thank you,

George and Ann Ames - Canada to Egypt - Nov 2002
Egypt was absolutely incredible! We saw and did more things than we ever thought possible, a dream come true! We think of ourselves as seasoned travellers, and try to spend a month every year seeing the world. This is one of the first vacations that we have done with a tour operator, and we felt that it was the right country to do it in.

We arrived late in Cairo, to be met by your rep, who as promised saw us through customs with our visas and handled our luggage through to the Royal Nile Tower, a grand place right on the nile with an amazing view.We were to meet Khalid the next morning with packed bags to start our vacation. As you well know the 7 hour time difference and the atlantic flight, takes a few days to adjust, but the excitement of seeing the pyramids kept us alert. Our guide, your partner was wonderful and full of all kinds of information that even though we had read all we could find on our trip, he added to it with spirit and fun. Karnak and Luxor were incredibly amazing and Saad was the best of all!

Renita and Bobbie - America to Egypt - Nov 2002
We just returned from a 20 days mother and daughter vacation to EGYPT. Our vacation was simply fabulous! Egypt is wonderful, exotic and a beautiful place to visit with modern and ancient living side by side. The Egyptians are the friendliest people I have ever met. Not once we felt any danger or animosity towards use. The Egyptians definitely welcome Americans with open arms. If you are planning or dreaming about going to Egypt but a little reluctant JUST DO IT! You will not regret it!

All of the arrangements and accommodations were excellent. The highlights of the trip were our ground crew. The tour director, driver , and guide in Upper Egypt were absolutely wonderful. They treated use kindly and most of all they were very patience, especially when I was sometimes a little difficult and demanding. The only thing I can say about the Pyramids is that you have to see them for your self. They are just incredible and enormous!

Lower Egypt (Luxor, Aswan, and Hurghada) would probably be the most memorable visit for use. The ancient sites in Luxor were astonishing and magnificent. If you love ancient temples and tomb, Luxor is the place. Aswan is just plain beautiful and relaxing. The Nile River in Aswan is a deep blue that memorizes you. The Nubians in Aswan are beautiful and extremely friendly people. I wished I could have stayed longer in Aswan. Cruising up the Nile River on a floating hotel was simply breathtaking. We will never forget the beautiful sun set and landscape. Hurghada (Red Sea) is another place that was wonderful. We definitely enjoyed the desert safari and boat ride. Diana's boat served one of the best lunches we had on the trip. The food was simply delicious and Diane and her staff were great too. I definitely recommend this boat for scuba diving and snorkeling tour.

We visited so many wonderful places in Egypt, but it would not have been as enjoyable and adventurous if it was not for the Tour director, Guide and Driver. The Guide is very knowledgeable about Upper Egypt. His presentation on Upper Egypt was excellent . We definitely were not worthy of his in-depth knowledge on ancient temples. Abu Simbel Temple is definitely a most. These temples are probably Ramses 11 greatest masterpiece.

Finally, the Tour Director and Driver are true gems. They definitely went beyond the call of duty to make use feel right at home. The Driver is very kind and a gentleman. He always had a bright and cheerful smile for us every morning. When I climbed Mt. Sinai, he was right by my side offering encouragement. I made it to the top thanks to him and God. May God bless him and his family.

The Tour director kept us laughing all the time. I know his job was extremely difficult. He made all our accommodations and he was very flexible when we wanted to change our itinerary. He kept everything organized but most of all he kept us pleased and happy. Ali performed his job in a professional manner and everything proceeded smoothly. He is definitely an asset to your company. I wanted to emphasis this point, visiting the temples and tombs were very exciting, but it was the ground crew that made the difference. I firmly believe that if it were not for the Tour Director and rest of the crew, our vacation would not have been the vacation of a Life Time. Thank you for a job well done. I also want to knowledge the Fisherman restaurant we visited the last night in Egypt. It was very beautiful and the food especially the fish was outstanding.

Gabriella - America to Egypt - Oct 2002
The trip was great. We loved the temples, pyramids and sphinx and all the sights. The cruise was great, the convoy to Hurghada was nice, and the private car was great. Enjoyed that way more than the bus. The time is Hurghada was great. I feel that the tour guides were excellent, they knew their stuff. We learned a lot, they answered all of our questions and helped us with any problems that occurred. They were also on time, polite and courteous. Thanks you for all your help in planning our trip. It was great. I'd definitely recommend your service to others. Thanks again...

Angie Sowar - America to Egypt- Oct 2002
I just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our trip to Egypt! The sights were great, and we loved the Nile cruise. All of our tour guides were very informative and nice. We also appreciated all of the effort everyone made to accommodate our changes in the itinerary. We did have a wonderful time on our trip and appreciate everyone's hard work and the efforts they put in to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and saw the best that Egypt had to offer!

Barbara Brebrick - USA to Egypt – Oct 2002
We made it back and enjoyed our time in Egypt very much. The Eugenie is a wonderful boat and we could recommend it without reservation. The food, staff and decor were impeccable. The St. George Sonesta in Luxor also was wonderful in every way. We were pleased with our substantive guides. All were needed to make the visits to the historic sites meaningful. We wouldn't have appreciated the trips nearly as much without them. In particular we enjoyed two of the guides, Baher in Aswan/Luxor who was quite kind and Shaima in Cairo who had a lot of enthusiasm and charm.

Our logistics man, was a character and certainly made the trip memorable. I was quite impressed with scuba diving and would not miss a stop at the Red Sea. In general, the food was great. The Eugenie and Sonesta St. George were particularly good, and again the staff was great. The Hilton Ramses had an excellent breakfast buffet and the staff was lovely. I was happy we stayed there whenever we were in Cairo. The Aswan Oberoi had a lovely pool and rooms. Finally, we both would like to note how much we liked the driver Mohammad. Despite the terrible traffic in Cairo he never became upset. He always had a smile, and in short was a true pleasure. If that were not enough, he climbed Mt. Sinai with one of the other Americans on the same tour as us and who had trouble getting up to the top. I thought that was above and beyond duty as he drove the 6 hours to St. Catherine from Cairo the day before and had to drive back the following day. He did it all in the calmest and kindest manner. He is a gem.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend A-Z travel. It is without a doubt a great value for an incomparable trip.

Lee Kornmuller - USA to Egypt - Oct 2002
Thank you for asking about my trip .I really liked my guides in Luxor and Cairo. They were excellent, so knowledgeable and very professional. I hope they become my friends. I really liked everything I saw and I want to go back to Egypt - Mohammed was a great driver - every day he and Osama took me to Islamic Cairo for the sufi dancing. I think the Sultan Hassan mosque should be a stop on your tours. We went into one small part of it and it was beautiful. It felt very peaceful and spiritual there. Prayers had just ended.

I really liked Sameh at the Kouad Delta Pyramids hotel, too. He was always friendly, and everyone on the desk staff was helpful. Thank you and everyone you work with here and in Egypt for making my trip happen.

Linda Lowrimore - Ecuador to South America - Oct 2002
Yes, I returned safe and sound, thank you. It was a taxing trip, with the varied climates and altitudes, 13 flights, 4 ferries, apprx. 15 motorcoaches and 1 train, but oh, so thoroughly enjoyable! South America was actually a continent which, prior to working here in Ecuador, had never really interested me, but I found it to be diverse, interesting and colorful. I would recommend it to anyone. The hotels were very comfortable and all, but one or two, very centrally located. The Cosmos Tour Director was outstanding. I venture to say the best tour director I have ever had and the tour itself ranks as one of the best I have taken. All in all, I was well pleased and had a fantastic time. Thank you, too, to you and Theresa for organizing it so effortlessly for me.

Sarah-Jayne Kevin & Sister - Ireland and Bahrain to Egypt - Oct 2002
The Trip was truly brilliant and all went great. It was all really well organized and we had no complaints at all. The agency in Egypt were really nice and very competent. The rep in Cairo was really nice. You were right about the buffets, perfect for us vegetarian. Chefs on the boat were great. It was fab having most things paid for before we got there and all the accommodation both on land and sea was amazing. It is definitely a place that I would recommend to anyone. I have to say I was a bit nervous booking something over the net, especially for that much money but everything worked out perfectly for myself and my sister. Thank you again for all your assistance and I hope that this is not the last time that we do business together.

Thanks for you note. Yes, it was an awesome trip. We are in sensory overload. I'll send you some photos, feel free to use them in any of your promotions. I'm a professional photographer. There is no way you could have planned it more appropriately. The guides were wonderful, especially in Cairo and Luxor. They were extremely talented. Again, an awesome trip! Thank you so much.

Wanda - USA to Scandinavia - Sept 2002
I am home and had a wonderful time. I met some great people on the trip and one of the gals was named "Avril". Anyway, everything went like clock work, the tour director, "Susan" was just great and the bus driver "Bjorn" was also great. I did not have a problem traveling alone and was glad I was alone - not sharing a bathroom (Ha!) I thank you for all of your patience with me and I just can't wait to go again. We had many nationalities on our bus and everyone got along very well. I love Scandinavia - Stockholm is amazing and would love to spend some time there again. I could go on and on but I am sure you have work to do so will not go on and on. Thanks again
.

Ruthie and Bill Reuter - USA to UK - Sept 2002
We had a wonderful trip. We met great folks and made new friends who live near us in the winter in Florida. Our tour guide, Charlie, was a walking encyclopedia of British history. We loved what we saw and would do a tour again. People of in Britain we so friendly and helpful and our private B & B in South Woodford was really nice, even if a bit out of the way. Thanks for all your help in making a dream holiday come true.

Jeanne and Herb Smith - USA to Eastern Europe - June 2002
Thank you for emailing and asking about the trip. It brings me pleasure just writing about it. The trip we took with Cosmos (A-Z Tours) in June was great. We feel so very fortunate to have seen Prague before the flood and feed terribly sorry for the people and their magnificent history.
Many told us for years to see the eastern capitols before they are modernized. We are so glad we did. Hopefully, the people will rebuild in the old style. Prague is the most charming city in Europe, in our opinion. We also enjoyed Vienna, Budapest, and Salzburg. We saw musical instruments we never saw before, heard fantastic professional concerts for a miniscule price compared to similar places in the west, and enjoyed some of the finest singing voices in those European countries. We managed to get into both the Vienna Opera House and the Budapest Opera House for performances. We felt so honored to be sitting there soaking up the history just as people have done for many generations. They were magnificent. And the people support their arts so well.

Ken Okada - USA to China - Aug 2002
Although it was a long trip, I feel very good about it. It was an excellent trip overall. . It was very well organized, despite having to be in multiple cities during the trip; I liked all the tour guides (a couple of them were outstanding), all the hotels were excellent, and I liked the fact that all the meals were provided. The sights were spectacular, the cruise was very enjoyable, and everything was very well taken care of. Also, it turns out that I really enjoyed traveling alone--there was much more flexibility, more freedom, and I got to talk to the tour guides much more extensively about different things.

Overall the trip was excellent, and I am impressed that you can continue to find travel agencies in different countries that provide excellent trips time after time. I would definitely recommend using this Beijing travel agency again. Thanks again, and I will let you know when I'm ready for another trip.

Mr and Mrs Joseph Powell - USA to Atlantic Canada - Aug 2002
The trip was wonderful except for the heat. The Cambridge Inn was exceptional. A wonderful facility. The staff was great. Also Gisele's was very very good. We saw and did a lot. We may have tried to do too much but it was fun. Thank you.

Sherryl Lerner and Friend - USA to Scandinavia - Aug 2002
The weather, although hot, was rain free and the sights beautiful, and the guide and bus driver were superb.
I hope to do business with you again.

Tina and Hal Sundquist - USA to Turkey - Aug 2002
The tour was more than we could have hoped or dreamed! Erzen, our guide was top drawer. He "bird-dogged" all of our accommodations, and when something was not up to standards had it changed. His choice of restaurants highlighted typical Turkish cuisine, and combined them with spectacular venues. He also was a magnificent font of knowledge and took us to little known - off the itinerary- sites. Cherokee is top-flight! They were able to look at the stock itinerary that we had and make intelligent changes. If they want any testimonial, I would be happy to oblige. Again, we had a marvelous tour, and will enthusiastically recommend both A-Z and Cherokee to our friends.

Geoffrey and Kathy Geiger - USA to Atlantic Canada - Aug 2002
Thanks for asking... overall, the trip was great. The scenery, the accommodations, the golf, etc. was very good. Dundee was a great scenic golfing venue. The people there were very kind and helpful and the owner of the Bluenose Inn was especially nice to us. Overall, trip which you planned for us was done very well and much to our liking. We did, as we knew we would, find a number of places worth going back for a second look. Thank you again for your service

*****************

Pat Porter and 2 friends - USA to Atlantic Canada - Aug 2002
The accommodations worked out well for a group of 3. The cottage was by far the best accommodation. The people we met (Canadians) were extremely kind, helpful and couldn't have been any nicer. The arrangements you made were fine given our late timing in deciding what we wanted to do.

Faziela Bacchus and Daughter - Toronto to Egypt - Aug 2002
We were entertained and amazed with Egypt. It was a lucrative experience in culture, history and education. The heat was tremendous, thank god for air conditioning.
As for your services and tours, I have no hesitation to recommend you to other people. I have actually done so already. Thanks for the trip and experience. I wish you every success.

*****************

Ann Hicks - USA to Atlantic Canada - Aug 2002
I thoroughly enjoyed the tours...I was able to see the realities of my imaginings and it was so great to be in that part of Canada. It's difficult to say what I liked the best! But I'd love to get back to Cape Breton Island someday! The driver for both tours, "Scottie" was especially helpful and we really appreciated him ....oh yes, Peggy's Cove was charming. Many thanks for everything you did....best of luck to you!

*****************

Jan and John Clark - USA to Turkey - Aug 2002
The trip was wonderful. Allen, our guide, was very good and very personable. Couldn't have asked for a better situation - a wonderful guide, a personal driver and an air-conditioned mini-van! It was very hot in Turkey - perhaps as hot as Egypt was last September. But we were outside no more than a couple of hours at a time. Then it was back to the mini-van. The trip involved quite a bit of driving, but that was really no problem. It gave us an opportunity to see the countryside. It also kept us "fresh" for the various sightseeing stops. I'm very glad we chose the Gamirasu Cave Hotel, in Cappadocia. Wonderful place. I can't say enough nice things about it. Thanks again for the wonderful planning. Now, let's see... Where to go next year...

William and Nancy Goliff - USA to Spain - Aug 2002

Matthew & Connie Russo - USA to Atlantic Canada - Aug 2002
Yes, we had a great time. However the next trip north we would fly directly to bar harbor and take the Cat over. The Cat would be a great way to travel overseas if it could be done? Halifax is a great city with lots of international shopping and eating. PEI was O.k. We would gladly recommend this trip and your services to anyone. You could use our name and email address for any responses. P.S. Please feel free to use us as references for any trips to Nova Scotia.

Mr and Mrs David High - Ontario to Atlantic Canada - July 2002
Everything was great. Only a couple of days of foul weather around Lunenburg. All the accommodation choices were very good. Loved Keltic Lodge and the hiking trails. The cottage at Crowbush was new but outstanding. You sure get to practice your "wind game" when playing golf at that course!! Probably would choose the Inn at Bay Fortune as the nicest room or Keltic Lodge. Thanks for the help with this.
